- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have had a Federated Insurance disability policy for over 15 years, been paying on it that long. I had back surgery 7 months ago and they were paying as per the policy which had a 60 day waiting period. After paying for 4 months they started looking for an out to stop paying. They are now declining to pay any more because they say it was a previous injury and is not covered. It was ok when I was giving them money for 15 years, but now they don't want to pay any more. I called them, it took 3 calls plus one to the manager to get someone to talk to me. Their answer is I can submit my case to them for review. What good will that do since they make the decisions and they do the review. I believe this will be settled in small claims court. Although I had formerly thought that they were a quality company, I can say with certainty that they are only good when the money is flowing toward them. RUN as fast as you can the other direction.
